Hands-on in Hurst, January 28 - 2012
This January the club again held an all-day, hands-on turning session, kindly hosted by Richard Maynard at his workshop in Hurst. As before the aim was for more experienced turners to pass on their knowledge to those with less experience. The day included a group session on sharpening of tools.
Those attending included Richard Maynard, Chris Hamblin, Terry Stevens, Peter Turner, Mel Atkinson, Brian Attewell, Harvey Grimwood, Matt Petch, Chris Cox, Mike Freeman, Bill Riley, Steve Cox, Mike Dyer, Peter Brooks and Adrian Cobb who took the pictures below.
As usual throughout the day, that provided an excellent opportunity for extended exchange of knowledge and skills, supported by a liberal supply of tea, coffee and other refreshments.

Once again the participants and the club express their thanks to Richard for what was a technically and socially rewarding day.
